The audience gravitated to her instantly and it was hard to shift your gazeaway, or relinquish any attention to the luminous spectral qualities of herfine singing instrument. MacMillan’s performance was a true highlight.
...it was here that I said to myself that this is another Dame Janet Baker inthe making because of her very intelligent approach and sensitive singing.
Her voice is as rich and as red as Barolo, poured in slo-mo, with a hint of tremolo.
